ANNOTATION
Achieving the priority goals of the development of the state, such as social stability, national security, economic growth, investment attractiveness and competitiveness to a fairly high degree depend on the level of development of the education system in the country. Modernization of the education system is also a necessary condition for the formation of an innovative economy. One of the directions of modernization of education is the transition from the traditional knowledge paradigm to a more flexible one - competence-based. The competence-based approach allows you to effectively form not only knowledge, skills and abilities, but also the personal and professional competence of a future specialist. In the article, the author concluded that the competency-based approach contributes to the development of competencies and competencies in the carrier of human capital, with the help of which he can later solve the tasks assigned to him in production and be a competitive competent specialist and in demand by the economy and society as a whole and the main difference competence from traditional requirements for the preparation of a graduate lies in the fact that the acquired competence is an integral characteristic of the level of his universal and professional qualifications.
