ANNOTATION
The article dwells on foreign experience of regional clusters formation and development in economically developed countries. It is underscored that formation of clusters in contemporary economy creates a favorable environment for production and introduction of high technologies. In reference to it, the article canvasses the foreign experience of regional clusters formation and development in the following countries, such as: Italy, France, Great Britain, the USA and Japan. It is proved that the efficiency of clustering the regional economy is determined by the degree of understanding and competent application of principles beset with organization of the process formation. Adducing the results of the analysis the author of the article comes to the conclusion that proceeding from experience of foreign countries, one can assert that a regional cluster being represented as a point of development and the basis of economy oriented towards innovation.
