ANNOTATION

The paper presents the results of a study of the influence of the size of cylindrical samples made of aluminum grade A5 on the time and rate of cooling. It was revealed that the samples are cooled due to convective heat transfer and thermal radiation. The characteristic cooling time due to radiation is shorter than the characteristic cooling time due to convection. It was found that the characteristic cooling times due to radiation and convection increase with increasing sample diameter.

KEY WORDS
