ANNOTATION

The paper presents an analysis of the existing interpretations of sustainable development management in the region. The transition to the trajectory of sustainable development of the region requires fundamental changes in the structure of the existing regional management system, which requires a well-grounded system of management bodies, target strategic settings, principles, functions, structures, resources, methods, technologies and tools that form a mechanism for influencing the regional economy. The author reveals the essence and concept of the economic mechanism and its components, as well as provides approaches to the formation of a mechanism for managing the sustainable development of the region.
