ANNOTATION

Given the development of import substitution through the use of its own raw materials, the article highlighted promising areas of production. It was determined that the most effective directions of import substitution are the formation of industries based on local resources and raw materials, which allows reducing the share of imported materials, raw materials, semi-finished products in the output structure and balancing export-import flows. Such goods that are advantageous for import-substituting production include: food industry products, in which goods are produced on the basis of domestic agricultural raw materials; products of pulp and paper industry (cardboard, newspaper and office paper) products made of stone, cement, plaster, ceramics and glass; light industry goods, including textiles and leather; chemistry products.

The development of import substitution will optimize the structure of the industry in the direction of increasing the share of the sectors for the production of advanced processing and final consumption with high added value. The formation of an efficient production structure contributes to the balance of export-import commodity flows.
