ANNOTATION

The article examines the content and structure of social welfare and its characteristics in the public sector of the economy. Summarizing the scientific ideas of scientists, the authors pay special attention to the need to study the sector of the economy in which goods - resources, goods, services are distributed not through the market, but through economic institutions, such as state bodies and local governments. This article examines the field of public goods research and provides a comparative analysis of private and public goods for identification or inclusion in the content of public goods. At the same time, the authors discuss a methodological approach to the problem of social welfare within formal and informal institutions and assess the dependence of the production of social welfare on the political system of society and the country.
